An open,
festive character
Another important element to be taken into
consideration on our journey through the
towns of the Espadán-Mijares community
is the open, festive character of their
people, always welcoming travellers with
open arms offering the visitors the best
of themselves and letting them take part
in their respective festive calendar of
events. The bullfights, the ancient and
ethnological flea markets and the festivals
are essential elements in these festivities
that take place all year round although
especially in the summer season.
Cuisine
Each place has its own cuisine mainly based
on the produce that is cultivated in the
fields of each village. The typical cuisine
of this community is yet another tourist
attraction. In the numerous restaurants
found throughout the journey we will be
able to taste traditional dishes and puddings
such as meat and vegetable paella, rabbit
with snails, stew and cold meat in general
or grilled meat.
